An International platform of collaboration with guests artist coming from all over the world , aiming to showcase modern contemporary dance in a refreshing perspective. Mr Zvi Gotheiner (Israel) and Ms Andre Miller (USA) , will showcase their works in Singapore for the first time on Ms Cai Shiji (Principal Dancer of DES Arts, Graduate of SUNY Purchase dance conservatory, New York).

Guest dancers from the Taiwan National University of the Arts (TNUA) , a premier professional dance institution in Taiwan has also been invited to work together with DES Arts dancers.

Reverberations is a journey of contemplative thinking of contemporary life and the abstraction of nature, universe and space. The Athleticism of the western elements of dance and stability of the eastern elements will come in harmonious balance in this journey of contemplation and self-rejuvenation.

DES Performing Academy will be presenting our annual dance performance entitled “Dreamweaver” on 12th December 2010 (Sunday) at 3pm in the University Cultural Centre Hall (UCC). This performance will showcase creative works by our dance and martial arts choreographers Ms Yap Guat Khim, Ms Sharon Low, Ms Goh Yandan, Ms Tey Danyi, Ms Zhang Yaojia, Ms Zhang Yun, Mr Guo Xiaoxing, Mr Dong Xinyu and Mr Liu Qiang.

This is an annual showcase of the hard work and talents of all our dance and martial arts students from the DES Performing Academy ranging from 3 – 18 years of age, basing on a story in the believing of the path of the arts. This multi-disciplinary performance will seek to integrate different elements of dance and martial arts as well as acting and singing.
